About Us
Our History
Moonlight Signworks was established in 2008 after operating many years as a part-time sign shop. Business became more than what a part-time (moonlighting) job could handle so it was time to open the doors full time. It was in the midst of a recession and the thought of quitting a regular job to go full-time on your own was an insane idea. Taking the leap required a lot of faith! None-the-less, Moonlight Signworks transformed from a part time gig to a full service sign shop in March of that year.
We have learned a lot since we have opened our doors many years ago. Along the way, we have shaped our business to conform to the needs of our customers. Many of our customers are small business owners like ourselves and they would come to us needing everything from business cards and flyers to vehicle magnetics and neon. We have become a one stop shop for everything graphic and sign related that a business needs.
In February 2010, we added additional equipment to begin producing t-shirts. Again, this was on the heels of necessity to meet our customers’ needs. We had many requests for shirts from our small business owners. Since most of them had few employees, the need for large quantities of shirts offered by other companies was of no use and was not cost effective. We added a heat press to our line-up and now we can accommodate those needs by being able to produce just one shirt or hundreds…no minimum!
We hope to grow and build lasting relationships with other businesses and individuals to help them grow through the use of good signage, graphics, and most of all, people service!

Our People Service Philosophy
Chuck Dixon, owner, has been in the sign business for over 16 years. Over the years he has worked for several large sign companies in the DFW area. He has gathered valuable experience and know-how throughout the years, however, he noticed there was one flaw that most sign companies overlooked – Great People Service!
"Most people that need signs or graphic work only have an idea of what they want as a final product. In my experience, most sign companies don’t take the time to educate the customer. If someone goes to a big box sign shop and asks for a banner, they get a banner. They are not asked how it is going to be used or what they are trying to accomplish. A banner might not be the right product for their application. It is my responsibility to educate them and give them options."
